To The Block Party With Style

Thus far the summer has consisted of several journeys

yet this journey drifts away from Berlin and takes us back to a beautiful Nordic city, namely Helsinki. 

Thanks to the lovely summer heat, the streets have been full of activities and importantly those to attract the attention of Anothamista. This block party was organized in the Espoo suberb featuring graffiti art and color. We were definitely glad to see some eye catching style...or let's say SWAG in this urban backdrop!

PB0110 is a new label that you probably would be hearing much more of. 

Each and every piece in this collection is beautifully crafted with a minimalistic design and has

 the perfect balance between softness and vibrance.

It was great to feel the energy and enthusiasm from the founder Phillip Bree (from BREE) while speaking to him. It was obvious he loved every piece himself. He spent an entire year sourcing and hand picked his 3 designers behind the brand. 

It is nice to see that each piece has the initials of the designer showing some acknowledge.

Daily Paper Clothing

Daily Paper Clothing was without doubt, one of the the hottest brands at Seek and MTV was on spot interviewing them. Daily Paper used to be a lifestyle blog, when they started making T-shirts with cool ethnic prints, their network of fans grew even bigger and now they are here!

What's really cool with them is that the founders are from different african countries and they make use of their heritage as a source of inspiration. They do this by merging patterns from their different cultures to create new ones with a modern touch.

They were truly inspiring to talk to, and considering our own backgrounds we naturally find this exciting.

SEEK SS14 - Fashion Fair Berlin!

Seek is a contemporary fashion trade show in Berlin inspired by pop culture  and strongly influenced by youth movements and different subcultures. It offers a mixture of new attitudes and old traditions focusing on modern clothes for independent minds.

The mixture of brands were indeed interesting some of the DAILY PAPER CLOTHING, PB0110, SENZ6, TANGETGC.
